Pride and Meal Package:
Dear Parents or Guardians, the PVI Football Team has traditionally ordered Team Pride Packs for each player. Coach Doherty made this mandatory last season that each player have a practice jersey, girdle, mesh shorts, tee-shirts, sweat pants and sweat shirts. The pride pack will include a few other items which will be listed in the course of this notice along with pricing for pre and post tame meal packages for the players.
The pride pack which each player will receive will consist of the following items: 1- Under Armour Sweat Shirt, 1-Under Armour Sweat Pants, 1-pair of Champion mesh shorts, 1-Gildan Tee Shirt, 1-mesh clothing mesh bag, 1- team wrist band. The Varsity players will also receive 1- Sleeveless Under Armour hot weather gear shirt, and instead of the sleeveless shirt the Freshman will receive a large black equipment bag. The pride pack will also include the team practice jersey and girdle. The estimated cost on these items will be roughly $200.00.
The second part of the package will be the meal package: ( roughly $100.00 ) The varsity will have six Friday Night games and each player will be cooked a pre-game meal before each of these games. They will also receive pre-game snacks during the three away day games and also post game snacks after every game ( all nine regular season games). The freshman will receive post game snacks after every game and will have one team dinner before the Camden Catholic Game. The cost of the Team Barbecue at the end of training camp for players and family will be included in this price as well as donation for the PAUCT10N Gift for 2008. Also, there will be a few dollars built into this cost for possible playoff games or extra games during the course of the season.
The past practice was for parents to be solicited for money to pay for each of the above mentioned items over the course of the football season. This year the PVI - Parent Booster Club is giving the parents the option to sell chances on a Philadelphia Eagles extravaganza day; which will include four tickets in prime seats to the Detroit Lions vs. OUR - Philadelphia Eagles, limo ride to and from the game, tail gate food and refreshments for four before the game, and dinner for four at Adelphia's Restaurant after the game. The price of the tickets will be $1.00 per chance.
Each player has the option to pay the cost of the pride and meal package ($300.00), or they can sell the $300.00 worth of chances. The option of selling the chances was taken by 98% of the players last year. Each player will receive tickets and they must be sold by opening of Football Camp on August 13, 2007. The players can turn the tickets into any coach or drop them into the Mail Box which will be located in the FOOTBALL COACHES ROOM. They may also hand them to a member of the Parent Booster Club at any Captains Practice during the summer months. Please be diligent in either getting your tickets sold or your payment for the pride and meal package. Due to the number of tickets that each player is requested to sell the Parents Club will be putting together a committee for BULK TICKET SALES to help players who may have a hard time selling all of their tickets. The committee will be headed up by Cheryl Mullen and Colleen Laughlin. Please stay tuned for more details on the dates and locations that players may sign up to go sell some of their tickets.
There will only be one MANDATORY FUND RAISER - The Game Day Program / Add Sales - information will be given out during football training camp in August.
